It is important to choose the appropriate treatment, depending on the severity of the condition being treated. As an analogy I would not use chemotherapy to treat a minor skin cancer, I would not use prolonged fasting for prediabetes. Equally I would not expect the healthy plate/balanced diet will be strong enough to treat cancer. This concept indicates this idea and can be used as an indication of which form of metabolic treatment to choose for each condition.
