Dr Ximena Hunefeldt

Dr Ximena Hunefeldt is a highly experienced and compassionate General Practitioner who graduated from medical school in Germany in 1998 and became a Facharzt fuer Allgemeinmedizin (vocational registered in Germany) in 2004. With a career spanning Germany, the UK, and New Zealand since 2009, she brings a wealth of global expertise to Reversal NZ .

Dr Ximena is passionate about preventative, integrative, and holistic medicine. She holds certifications in nutritional environmental medicine, bioidentical hormone prescribing, cannabis prescribing, and SCOPE certification for weight loss medicine and lipoedema (2023). She is currently finalising her fellowship with ACNEM (Australasian Centre of Nutritional Environmental Medicine). With extensive experience in a non-surgical weight loss clinic from January 2022 to September 2025, her passion for optimal health and wellbeing she specializes in myalgic encephalomyelitis (chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, IBS), long COVID, and supportive cancer treatment using a metabolic approach. She also integrates anthroposophic medicine principles, backed by two years of training, into her patient assessments and treatments.

Trilingual in English, Spanish, and German, she offers personalized, patient-centered care to a diverse community. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, knitting socks, and embracing the outdoors. She is a proud mother of two adult children living overseas.
